Sensory Integration is the organization of sensation for use. fun is the child’s word for sensory integration.
Children are innately designed to enjoy activities that challenge them to experience new sensations and develop motor functions. At DPK we offer the “just right challenge” necessary to make new pathways for success.
Therapists carefully analyze each therapy session in order to facilitate sensorimotor skill development, social communication, and build play skills.

We have facilitated over 8,000 integrated Playgroups at DPK. Play becomes a balanced partnership when sensory integration and Integrated Playgroups are combined.
Throughout the Integrated Playgroup process, play is recognized not only as a vehicle to learning and development, but as a most meaningful part of childhood that enables children to simply have fun and make friends.

Developmental Pathways for Kids (DPK) is a comprehensive pediatric clinic in Redwood City, California, located next to a private elementary school. Since we opened our doors in 1997, we have been known as the “playhouse” to thousands of children and families in the Bay Area.
